The NEOS team's engineering heritage includes high resolution audio - since the early 1990s. We've developed products specifically for the reproduction and the production of high-resolution audio, for both consumer and professional markets. Several of us were deeply involved in the creation and launch of high-resolution audio formats.

Our design philosophy is centered around the belief that all sound reproduction products can benefit from high-resolution audio content. Even low-cost, mass-market consumer products can reap the benefits of better sound quality if they are designed to be compatible with and leverage high resolution audio.

Similarly, NEOS has been immersed in the research and development of spatial audio technologies. This has been a major internal effort over the last 15 years. Our philosophy and approach to spatial audio differs significantly from other companies and technologies. Because of our heritage, we believe that Spatial Audio is, or should be, a component of high-resolution audio, and should never damage or compromise the original audio content.
